Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Environmental Engineer with a client located in Rochester NY. Must hold a Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, or a related field. Will identify and assess environmental issues, such as pollution, contamination, and resource depletion. Will also develop and implement solutions to address these issues, including designing and managing systems for waste treatment, water purification, air quality control, and remediation of contaminated sites.

Pay/Salary Range $66K - $69K

Environmental Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Support the compliance group's clients with assisting in the preparation of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans; Storm Water Pollution Prevention / Best Management Practices Plans; air, wastewater and stormwater permits; compiling and interpreting monitoring data; and developing reports for submittal to regulatory agencies for industrial clients.
  • Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients; communicate results of analyses internally and externally in verbal and written form.
  • Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum Three years related experience
  • Solid science background, with ability to review regulations and permits and interpret requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel is required.
