The firm contributed to the planting design for the transformative redevelopment of the Seattle Waterfront in collaboration with Field Operations. Land Morphology is seeking a mid-level Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect with four to seven years of professional experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about working collaboratively to create exceptional gardens that nurture life—spaces that are both artfully designed and ecologically meaningful.
Position Requirements / Qualifications
This position involves contributing to multiple projects of varying scales simultaneously, providing support to principals and project managers while collaborating closely with the broader design team. Candidates should demonstrate strong design and drafting abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities may include preparing permit submittals, developing schematic design and construction document packages, producing presentation graphics, assisting with project administration, and contributing to hand and digital sketching. A keen attention to detail is essential, as is a commitment to delivering a high level of service to clients.
· Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture (BSLA/BLA) required
· 4–7 years of relevant professional experience
· Proficient in developing construction details and technical drawings
· Familiarity with local codes and permitting requirements
· Strong critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail
· Excellent time management and organizational abilities
· Clear and effective communication skills—written, verbal, and graphic
· Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Land F/X, with a solid understanding of documentation standards
· Proficient in SketchUp or Rhino and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
· Experience with Revit is a plus
· Experience with Enscape, and/or Lumion along with Grasshopper is considered an asset.
