Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $35-45/hour
• Location: Carlsbad, NM
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+
• Assignment Duration: 12 months

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Advanced degree in Engineering or Science preferred
• Experience executing project construction or quality assurance/control of procurement or construction activities
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a project Quality Management supervisory role
• Manufacturing, fabrication or construction experience related to project scope
• Recent experience in selected inspection discipline
• Willing and able to business travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites to provide various levels of support
• Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
• Read, write and speak fluent English with strong management, leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment inspections.
• Evaluate inspection results, develops run/repair/replace recommendations, and work with Client MI Inspector and Inspection Leader to monitor inspection findings/recommendations.
• Provide QA/QC for new projects and maintenance repairs in Permian production areas (shop and field) – weld procedure/qualifications, NDE, pressure testing
• Conducts pre-commissioning inspections of new and reconditioned vessels and tanks to confirm internal coating and assembly quality
• Work closely with MI/Corrosion engineers in the identification of active and potential corrosion mechanisms as well as their mitigation, control and monitoring requirements
• Inspect facilities under SPCC jurisdiction for equipment conditions that could become a source of leaks/spills
