Mid/Senior Securities Litigation Attorney – Derivative Actions Focus | On-Site | New York City, NY

A nationally active boutique law firm in Midtown Manhattan seeks a mid- to senior-level litigator to join its expanding team focused on shareholder derivative actions. This fully on-site position is ideal for attorneys looking to shape impactful litigation nationwide while working closely with a specialized and collaborative group.

This opportunity is with a niche litigation-focused law firm nationally known for its leadership in shareholder rights advocacy. The firm is actively growing its Manhattan office and offers motivated litigators the chance to take ownership of major fiduciary-duty and securities cases—providing meaningful mentorship, client access, and room to grow into leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of derivative and securities litigation, from intake to final resolution

• Draft complaints, briefs, and discovery materials on high-stakes corporate governance issues

• Manage fact development, deposition strategy, and court filings

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations

• Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals in litigation strategy and case preparation

• Build long-term client relationships with both institutions and individuals

• Drive practice expansion through thought leadership or lateral recruitment opportunities

Qualifications:

• Active New York Bar membership in good standing

• 4–10+ years of litigation experience in securities, corporate fiduciary matters, or commercial disputes

• Prior experience at a securities-focused boutique, plaintiffs' firm, or Big Law setting strongly preferred

• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to analyze complex financial records and translate them into actionable legal arguments

• Demonstrated initiative and self-management skills in litigation matters
