About the Role – Practice Manager

The Practice Manager oversees the overall operations of the hospital, ensuring:

  • Smooth day-to-day functioning
  • Financial profitability
  • High standards of veterinary care

You will focus on optimizing hospital performance, improving operational efficiency, and managing/supporting hospital teams to deliver excellent veterinary care.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong background in veterinary hospital management
  • Experience managing multiple teams
  • Skills in staff development, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations to align with strategic goals and industry standards
  • Ensure consistency in procedures and quality of care across all teams
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, team leads, and team members
  • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture
  • Oversee Member service processes and resolve escalated concerns
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, AAHA, and state veterinary board regulations
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term strategies for performance and satisfaction
  • Manage inventory control, stocking levels, and expense control

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Science, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing multiple teams

  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification

Compensation

Pay: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
