Job Description

Consello Capital, the private equity arm of The Consello Group, is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join our growing investment team. The firm invests across a wide range of sectors, leveraging Consello’s deep network and integrated advisory expertise to drive growth and value creation in its portfolio companies. As a Private Equity Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving transactions and fostering value creation within our portfolio. Your day-to-day responsibilities will range from conducting rigorous due diligence, creating complex financial models, and supporting investment theses to actively partnering with portfolio companies to execute on growth strategies. You will be immersed in the full spectrum of private equity activities, working side by side with senior investment professionals and providing integral insights that guide the firm’s investment decisions

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth commercial, financial, and operational due diligence, including market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and assessment of key risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and present detailed investment memos outlining potential risks and returns to senior leadership and investment committees
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive models to assess target company performance, forecast returns, and evaluate potential exit strategies
  • Coordinate deal execution by managing external advisors, legal teams, and transaction processes
  • Support ongoing monitoring and analysis of portfolio company performance, identifying operational improvements and strategic growth initiatives
  • Collaborate with management teams to execute value creation plans, track KPIs, and drive operational and financial performance
  • Stay current on industry trends, economic developments, and capital market dynamics; share insights that enhance the firm’s investment strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, intermediaries, management teams, and other partners to advance sourcing efforts and manage deal flow

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience at a top investment bank, leading consultancy, or other premier post-undergraduate firm / program
  • Exceptional financial analysis, writing, and presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to take initiative without constant supervision
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships and collaborate in a team-oriented environment
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and going above and beyond expectations
  • Unwavering ethical standards and a strong sense of accountability

Compensation: $125,000-$175,000 base salary, plus competitive discretionary bonus.
