Application Engineer III
PERMANENT ROLE
$115,000 - $120,000/yr
A client in the defense industry is looking to add 2 Application Engineers to their team on site in Orlando, FL. They will be responsible for developing hardware and software for functional and diagnostic testing for electrical assemblies. They will be designing cables for the mechanical team, testing military radios, and performing RF testing. They will be responsible for working on about 10,000 lines of code, addressing technical issues, and troubleshooting problems for existing systems. They will be collaborating with team members and working closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Electrical Engineering degree preferred)
- 8 years of experience overall
- RF testing experience
- Programming experience, not VHDL
- Hardware and software experience
- Ability to read schematics
- Software experience in python or C# or C++
- Experience using test and lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Embedded software experience
- Military experience
