Senior Product Designer (Mobile App Experience)

Location: Bothell, Washington

Job Description:

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our mobile applications across various platforms. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX leads, product and motion designers, copywriters, business owners, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions. Your expertise in design thinking, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and design composition will be essential in communicating and refining the user experience at every stage of the design process.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with UI/UX leads, product and motion designers, copywriters, business owners, product managers, and engineers to build high-quality mobile app experiences for various platforms (Android, iOS, ReactNative).
• Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process through design thinking, user flows, wireframes, and low- or high-fidelity prototypes and design compositions.
• Ensure collaboration and alignment with teams responsible for online and mobile experiences to meet customer needs across the AT&T digital ecosystem.
• Lead and contribute to the creation and maintenance of design systems.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and gather user feedback.
• Analyze UX research data and apply findings to improve user experience.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Digital Portfolio: An inspiring portfolio showcasing your design aesthetic and demonstrating your user-centered product design experience, including case studies of recent work and examples of app experiences.
• Education: Degree or Certification in graphic or visual design or equivalent in design work experience.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience practicing visual or product design, with an emphasis on human-centered interaction.
• App Design: Proven experience in app product design for different mobile devices and platforms (Android, iOS, ReactNative).
• UX Expertise: Deep understanding of UX best practices.
• Prototyping: Skilled in prototyping using various software and techniques.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Figma, Mural/FigJam, and Adobe Design Suite. Experience with prototyping software (Protopie) is a plus.
• UX Research: Familiarity with UX Research methods, data analysis, and application is a plus.
• Design Systems: Experienced in working within a design system.
• Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, a mentor, organized, takes initiative, problem-solver, curious, collaborative, effective communicator, agile.
