Senior Structural Designer

Position Overview:
This role focuses on developing practical, cost-effective, and fully functional structural designs and drawings for various projects. Responsibilities include foundation, concrete, and structural steel design, detailing, and fabrication. The Senior Structural Designer ensures designs are well-coordinated across disciplines and aligned with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops complex structural design drawings with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Ensures compliance with industry codes, permits, and software applications.
• Prepares design drawings based on project specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Assists in verifying structural calculations to support engineers and overall project design.
• Reviews vendor documents for accuracy and compliance, including cross-discipline reviews.
• Supports adherence to project schedules, cost controls, and company procedures.
• Applies sound judgment in modifying and implementing design practices.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Proficient in structural design software and cost estimating methods, including material take-offs.
• Identifies potential project changes and understands change control processes.
• Provides technical guidance to junior designers and drafters.
• May act as a design consultant to other teams.

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 + years of experience.
