MegazoneCloud is hiring a Senior Cloud Project Manager – Korean Bilingual to support our growing operations in Orange County, CA, USA. This position is responsible for leading the design and execution of cloud strategy solutions in partnership with clients, internal service teams, and third-party partners.

In this role, you will engage closely with IT consultants, cloud solution architects, application engineers, and cloud engineers to translate business requirements and IT strategic roadmaps into scalable, future-state cloud architectures. These architectures are expected to leverage the full capabilities of both commercial and private cloud platforms.

A key focus of the role involves addressing the complex challenges of migrating legacy infrastructure and application portfolios to the cloud. You will help bridge operational and technical gaps, ensuring alignment throughout the planning, design, and execution phases.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in managing traditional hosted or outsourced transitions involving n-tier enterprise architectures. The role requires proven leadership in directing project managers and technical teams, as well as proficiency with project management tools, methodologies, and delivery frameworks specific to cloud migration initiatives.

  • Lead the design and execution of cloud transformation strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Translate business and IT requirements into actionable architecture and project plans.

[Execution & Team Collaboration]

  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to design comprehensive cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
  • Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation while managing onsite and remote technical teams using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project plans.

[Risk & Quality Management]

  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate technical and architectural challenges while monitoring project risks, costs, and implementing effective mitigation strategies throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to established cloud migration methodologies (e.g., Lift & Shift, Re-hosting, Refactoring, Re-platforming).

[Communication]

  • Coordinate with cross-functional and third-party teams to deliver cohesive and integrated solutions.
  • Maintain proactive and transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project status, architecture, risks, and progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency through automation and clear documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Around 10 years of overall experience in IT, with 5+ years of progressive project delivery leadership across complex initiatives.
  • 3+ years managing cloud-related projects involving provisioning, transition, migration, transformation, or modernization is a mandatory requirement.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a strong technical understanding of provisioning and migration, is a mandatory requirement.
  • In-depth understanding of IT system implementations on cloud environments and associated migration methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for cloud-based solutions.
  • Skilled in using and setting up project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
  • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, bilingual technical teams in cross-cultural environments.
  • Fluent in Korean and English (spoken and written), with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to represent the brand professionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing cloud migration projects using Refactoring or Re-platforming methodologies.
  • Certified in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner).
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or GCP Architect.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with open-source technologies and tools, including databases, development frameworks, and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong technical background in Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
  • Experience with identity and access management solutions, including Active Directory and security platforms.
  • Proven experience managing containerization projects using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
