Job Description

We're partnering with a major bank to hire a UX/UI Designer for a long-term hybrid contract role (3 days on site per week ) based in Minneapolis, Minnesota , with potential to extend beyond the initial year.

In this role, you’ll be the dedicated designer supporting a critical virtual assistant/chat initiative. We’re looking for someone with strong UX research and UI skills, ideally with previous experience working on conversational AI or AI-backed products. You should be proactive, communicative, and ready to own your piece of the work within a larger team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support UX and UI design for a major virtual assistant/chat initiative .
• Consult on and contribute to experience design deliverables including content design, research, and product strategy.
• Analyze and address moderately complex design challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet project goals.

Preferred Experience:

• Strong communication skills and self-starter attitude.
• Solid background in UX research and UI design.
• Previous experience with conversational AI or AI-backed products is preferred.
• Ability to manage design deliverables independently within a project team.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in UX design, content design, design research, or product design (or equivalent through work, consulting, military experience, or education).

Logistics:

• Location: Must be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota
• Structure: Hybrid, 3 days per week on site
• Duration: 1 year with potential to extend

• Work Authorization: W2 Only - must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. No C2C.
• Pay Rate: $45-50 per hour
• Start Date: Ideally May 22nd, 2025

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
