We are a rapidly growing organization in the Lyndhurst, NJ area. We are seeking to hire a Senior AR Accountant to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities.

Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant This role is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle AR process, ensuring timely invoicing and collections, reconciling customer accounts, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles within a product-based business environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, payment application, and collections.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on past due accounts to ensure optimal cash flow.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to resolve billing or delivery issues.
• Perform credit analysis and set or update customer credit limits.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting.
• Support audits by providing requested documentation and analysis.
• Continuously improve AR processes, policies, and internal controls.
• Mentor or support junior accounting staff as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in a product-based or manufacturing company.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and AR best practices.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
