We are seeking a passionate and skilled K-6 Classroom Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in differentiated instruction and experience working with both special needs and gifted students. You will play a crucial role in creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect and a love of learning.
• Collaborate with special education staff, counselors, and parents to support student development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school community activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license or certification in Nevada preferred.
• Experience working with special needs and gifted students in an elementary school setting.
• Strong understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and differentiated instruction techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and learning.
• Familiarity with Google Applications is a MUST.
• Ability to work with SmartBoards and a knack for technology.
• Social-Emotional Instruction experience preferred.

• $31.25–$43.75 per hour based on a 10 month part-time 20 hours per week schedule

Stipulations:

• The employee must be available to participate in both virtual and in-person training sessions throughout the duration of the contract.
• The employee must be capable of working independently and providing effective leadership to the teaching assistant.
